Should auld acquaintance be forgot: 2008 in review
January - Moved to SF with James.
February - Got my two degrees from UC Santa Barbara in the mail, and I told my mom to stick it on the fridge. I have no idea where they are now. Lining for the rabbit cage, for all I care.
March - Played my first RL gigs.
April - Kept going to open mics. Yelled at MTV producers.
May - Played another RL show. MTV thing aired.
June - Started getting a band together. Played another RL show.
July - Recorded songs at an actual studio for the first time ever. Played at the Rock-It Room again.
August - Went to the Outside Lands Music Festival and got to see Radiohead... well, I got to see them on the screens. I got to hear them, though! ...When the sound didn't cut out. Then I went to PAX and got to see Jonathan Coulton!
September - Said thanks, but no thanks to Tyra Banks.
October - Had my most recent (and possibly final) show at the Rock-It Room. Seriously, I'm not doing this shit again until I know what I'm doing. My kittens came home with me on Halloween. James and I went trick-or-treating because we're totally retarded like that.
November - Celebrated Obama's victory, slashed my wrists to ribbons at Prop 8's passing. Got a new bassist for the band. Got my wisdom teeth pulled.
December - Wrote and recorded a song for a friend's short indie film. Started seriously looking for a job, after a year of being utterly useless.

In short, this has been a really odd year. Not necessarily bad. Just... strange. I'm ready to get a move on. 2009, what say you?
